After preparing the PALOMERA Knowledge Base (a collection of documents including reports, policies, statistics, survey results and interview transcripts relevant to OA policies regarding OA books in the European Research Area) and publishing the data analysis report following the PESTLE approach (in order to gain insights into the current status), the PALOMERA team has been working on drafting actionable recommendations to support and coordinate aligned funder and institutional policies for OA books, with the overall objective of speeding up the transition to OA for books.
The recommendations address all relevant stakeholders (research funders and institutions, researchers, publishers, infrastructure providers, libraries, and national policymakers).
