Multilingualism Service

Mondaecus is a collaborative translation platform that introduces a human dimension to machine translation, improving its sensitivity to different linguistic contexts. It reinforces multilingualism for the advancement of science and the transfer of knowledge in scholarly communication.
Mondaecus was developed by the University of Coimbra within the context of OPERAS projects: its idea was conceived during the OPERAS-P project, and the prototyping and first version were prepared and released during the OPERAS-PLUS project. Mondaecus is also a result of the collaborative work of the OPERAS Multilingualism Special Interest Group.
