Transnational Access Fellowship Program
The Call is accepting applications from January 2026 til end of February 2026.
The Transnational Access Fellowship Programme is described under the H2IOSC project, funded through the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and concerns the following topics, to be broadly understood:
● Application of FAIR principles to research data;
● Open Science and Open publishing in Italy;
● Development of ontologies;
● Multilingualism;
● Design and creation of marketplaces;
● Methodologies for managing data and resources in the MarketPlace according to FAIR principles.
Who can apply
The H2IOSC Transnational Access Fellowship Programme offers to applicants a fellowship grant from one of OPERAS member institutions to the H2IOSC operating unit or vice versa. The access shall be transnational (i.e., applicants must apply for access in a country other than that of their home institution).
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to:
● Interact with experts;
● Receive advice on ongoing projects;
● Learn how to use the ecosystem of data, tools and standards;
● Assemble new corpora;
● Profit from hands-on training and support.
Acceptable costs
Fellowship grants will be provided to cover housing and subsistence costs, as well as travel expenses to and from an eligible host institution, according to OPERAS policy.
Eligible host institutions include
● OPERAS AISBL (Belgium)
● OPERAS National Nodes (all institutions)
● H2IOSC OU (Italy)
Note: these visits cover mobility only from and to Italy. Does not include visits from OPERAS AISBL to National Nodes or between National Nodes)
Duration and period of the Fellowship
Successful applicants may be expected to join the chosen host for a period of 1 up to 5 weeks.
The Transnational Access Fellowship must start before March 10th 2026.
The application consists of:
● Motivation letter which shortly explains the plan of the visit
● Preferred period of stay
